Dining table · Marble-effect ceramic

A table that stands up to children, wine and twenty years

The Livia Dining Table has the light of white marble and the toughness of ceramic. Wine, the heat of a serving dish or the kids' homework leave no mark, and it needs no sealing or special care.

The problem

What truly spoils a dining table

  1. The ring from a glass

Wine, lemon or vinegar stain natural marble if it is not sealed, and the sealing has to be repeated over the years.

  2. The dish straight from the oven

Varnished wood marks with heat and the white ring does not go away.

  3. Everyday life

Plates, toys, homework and laptops scratch soft tops. An everyday table takes it all, every day.

The solution

Why ceramic does not give in

A ceramic top has the look of stone without its pores. It does not absorb liquids, withstands heat and resists scratching. Clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap, no special products needed.

El criterio de la interiorista
«We chose it for homes where the table is used every day. It has the light of white marble without its upkeep, and the oval shape lets you sit at the ends without corners.»
Zaida Muñoz, interiorista de Zach & Decor

It is the table we chose for the last home we renovated. You can see it alongside the rest of the pieces from that house in A Home in 30 Nights.

Dimensions

Six guests comfortably, eight if dinner runs long

180 × 90 × 76 cm. Allowing 60 cm per person, it seats 6 comfortably and up to 8 at an informal dinner. Being oval, nobody wrestles with a corner at the ends.

The legs are set between 70 and 110 cm apart, so the chairs slide in without bumping. For the rug, add 60 cm on each side: a 300 × 200 cm rug keeps the chairs on it when they are pulled out.

Preguntas frecuentes

Lo que nos preguntan antes de comprarla

Is the Livia Dining Table made of natural marble?

No. The top is ceramic with a white marble finish: the same look, with no pores, no acid stains and no maintenance.

What is better for a dining table, ceramic or marble?

For daily use with children or frequent dinners, ceramic: it resists heat, scratches and stains. Natural marble has unrepeatable veining, but it is porous and marks with lemon, vinegar or wine if it is not sealed.

How do you clean a ceramic table?

With a damp cloth and mild soap. It needs no sealing. Avoid sharp knocks on the edge, the most exposed part of any tabletop.

How many people fit at a 180 × 90 cm table?

Six comfortably and eight at an informal meal, allowing 60 cm per person.

Does it arrive assembled?

It is delivered for assembly. It weighs 64 kg, so it is best assembled by two people in the dining room.
