For reading or beside the bed you need a warm, soft light. The fabric shade diffuses the light without glare.

Alabaster asks for a little care: a dry cloth, away from water and humidity. With that, the piece stays with you.

A stone that works with the light
Alabaster lets light through and turns it warm and diffused. That is why, when you switch it on, the veining shows from within. The pale fabric shade and the gold details complete a piece for the chest of drawers, the bedside table or the reading corner.

What is alabaster?
It is a natural mineral, a fine-grained, translucent, silky-to-the-touch variety of gypsum. When light passes through it, it turns warm and diffused, which is why it has been used in lamps for centuries.
Is alabaster the same as marble?
No. Marble is much harder and less translucent. Alabaster is softer, lets light through and needs more care around water and knocks.
Why is every alabaster lamp different?
Because the stone forms naturally and is carved by hand: veining, tones and small marks vary from piece to piece.
Is a bulb included?
Yes. It comes with a 3,500 K (warm white) LED bulb, CRI 90, with an E27 fitting.
How do I clean it?
Only with a soft, dry cloth. Alabaster is sensitive to water and chemicals, so avoid placing it in bathrooms or near sources of humidity.
