The story of Zach & Decor springs from a deep passion for creation, aesthetic sensitivity and the ability to turn spaces into places with an identity of their own.

In 2013, while Zaida Muñoz was beginning her training as a decorator and interior designer, she and Ángel, her partner and husband, were already developing construction and renovation projects in different parts of Spain. From Catalonia to various places across the peninsula, the two began to build a track record in the construction sector, taking part in works and projects where design, execution and detail already played a fundamental role.

That combination of site experience and aesthetic sensitivity shaped, from the start, the essence of what would later become Zach & Decor: a firm able to understand a space both from its structure and from its soul.

At the same time, they began to take part in projects and works across Madrid, Ibiza, France and Portugal. Those first years were marked by constant learning and by the development of a very personal outlook on design: a way of understanding spaces not only through aesthetics, but through the emotions they awaken and the stories they are able to convey.

From the beginning, their vision of interior design was tied to authenticity, to detail and to an emotional connection with each project. For Zaida, a space should not be content with being beautiful; it should reflect the essence of the person who lives in it, convey balance and create genuine feelings.

With the arrival of their daughter, their personal and professional life took a different course. The need to leave behind the constant rhythm of travel and international works marked an important change of stage. However, the true turning point came some time later.

There was a moment when everything stopped.

After several years devoted fully to interior design, construction and growing the company, Zaida and Ángel went through one of the most complex and painful periods of their lives, both personally and in business. A radical change forced them to stop completely, rebuild themselves and rethink from scratch everything they had built until then.

That period was marked by major emotional, economic and financial challenges. The company went through especially difficult times, to the point of having to start practically from below zero. It was a period of enormous uncertainty, sacrifice and rebuilding, when it seemed that years of effort had crumbled.

But far from giving up, they decided to turn that fall into the greatest lesson of their career.

Ángel became a fundamental pillar throughout the whole rebuilding process, taking an active part not only in the business project but also in the human and emotional drive needed to start again. Together they rebuilt the company from a far more solid, mature and conscious vision.

Between 2018 and 2019, Zaida resumed her specialist training by completing a master's degree in interior design, while the two of them began to recover and redefine the essence of Zach & Decor with a much stronger, more sophisticated and more authentic identity.

Former clients got back in touch, once again seeking her creative sensitivity and her unique way of interpreting spaces. One of the projects that marked this new beginning was the complete decoration of a hotel, a job that gave the final push to return fully to the sector and to consolidate a far more defined and exclusive creative identity.

Since then, Zach & Decor has become a studio where every project is born from emotion, elegance and authenticity. Each space is conceived as a sensory experience, with care given to every detail to create environments that convey personality, harmony and character.

In 2025 a further natural evolution emerged within the brand: the design of its own furniture. After years of working on interior design projects and searching for very specific pieces that were hard to find with traditional suppliers, the need arose to create exclusive, carefully selected furniture with a completely distinct identity.

Pieces conceived from the same philosophy that defines Zach Decor: timeless elegance, artistic sensitivity and authenticity. Furniture designed not only to complete spaces, but to bring soul, presence and singularity.

The story of Zach & Decor has never been a simple or linear path. It has been marked by challenges, pauses, losses and new beginnings. But that is precisely where its true essence lies: in the ability to reinvent itself, to evolve and to turn every lived experience into beauty, strength and creation.

Today, Zach & Decor represents much more than an interior design and construction studio. It represents a story of resilience, vision, rebuilding and a passion for creating spaces with truth.
